Default 84 Marathon Driven Clutch rebuild?

After several attempts and lots of reading, I'm un able to find much about rebuilding these. Is it even possible? The reason I ask is because the clutch was not working at all. The only thing I seen wrong was a large platic washer was in a bind and had dropped down around the spring on one side. Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing? I've taken the clutch apart and got that platic washer off of that spring and where it's suppose to go. Guess I will put it back together and re install and see what happens. May be buying a new one I reckon.

how were the phenolic buttons on the cam/helix? my sheaves were grooved bad, and the buttons were junk. I machined the sheaves to clean up the grooves, new buttons, new 28 degreee cam. i think i changed the spring hole location too. i didn't feel like all of that helped much. my next move is a new clutch, i think. i took alot(too much) of material off by cleaning up the grooves in the sheaves.

The buttons look fine to me and the sheeve's look to have normal wear on them to me. Nothing grooved and a pretty smooth surface. I'm just gonna re assemble and slap it on and see what happens.
