Well personally I would check into the cvt first. I know buying a new belt may be the easy way out, but you could also be hiding the real reason why it's not working properly. I gather you want a quick fix, but by buying a smaller belt (next size down) you may be covering up the real reason for your problem. I know you probably don't want to hear that, but if all things being equal and you're running the recommended belt and it's not working right, I'm thinking your cvt system needs looking into. Otherwise you're just covering up what may be out of spec.

Not sure on the actual size... I would check the part number for the stock belt and get the dimensions... I believe the last belt I installed that was shorter I took the stock length and searched for a belt the same width and went somewhere between 1/2 inch 3/4 shorter... I would maintain the width but just go a bit shorter... Just know that you will have to fight the new belt on... The old one will be easy to get off and the new one will be hard to get on.. just know that is normal.
