The rear has 4 leaf spring suspension. The cart rides quite stiff even with 3-4 people on board
This may be part of your problem. You may be going down the road bouncing like a basketball. By the way are your tires balanced?

No, I have not done this. But that is the first thing I will do when I get back to the cart over Memorial weekend. It would be GREAT if that's all it takes!

When you mean "balanced" do you mean spun on a wheel balancing machine? No they have not been balanced. If you mean tire pressure, yes all tires are at the same pressure. But I'm not sure how either of these would have any effect on the jerkiness of the throttle. Yes, the ride is pretty stiff with the HD springs even with a load. However, the cart definitely does NOT bounce down the street like a basketball. One of the roads near me that I have done a lot of my testing on has been paved in the last year and is quite smooth. Running down this road I still experience the throttle jerkiness.

Maybe that bouncing like a basketball was a little extreme. I've just put heavy duty springs and 20" tires on my cart and installed an XCT500IQ. I've removed the fourth spring from the leaf springs and had the tires balanced. Each made the ride a little better. Right now I have a little hesitation about half throttle but once I get past that spot it's smooth riding. I think adjusting the torque will get rid of it. I lowered the curve tonight and it got worst. Tomorrow I'll try raising it. Hope this helps you some. Forgot yes spun on a wheel balancing machine.

Thank you and everyone that have contributed to my better understanding of golf cart modding. I certainly take all suggestions seriously and will try them all.
