Got some new parts coming from smallblock, not sure if he threw in new seals or not will have to send him a message. I have to work on getting the spacer off the shaft, they didn't use never seize..also think it was flipped is there a correct way for the spacer?

Its pretty normal for a little play in the sliding sheaves for older yamaha, but they should not visibly wobble at the top much unless you really look close while pulling them back/forth. But if you are in there, now is the time to do them up and then you wont worry about it again.

I read on here somewhere about which hole the spring goes into.. Mike Mac it might of been a post I read from you not sure, it was talking about matching up the helix with the sliding sheave if I remember correctly.. I can't seem to find the post now.

I think stock is B-4? B-3 is slightly less preload it would run less rpm at part throttle. I ran B-2 for years with stock power, with the clone I have a 94c on it and it seems to require more preload think it was at C-1 or something. I was working better until my new yamaha spring broke, have to get another. The Umax does not work as well, but again it may be all different with a different primary. The umax worked great with the yamaha primary.
