Default Need help with my 6" Jakes lift on the rear of my g16

Hello everyone. I installed a Jakes 6" lift and the rear is off. One side touches the rocker and the other has a ton of space. Also the sway bar won't reach the bracket.

Is it possible that the passenger side shock was installed backwards?

You should be able to pull the swingarm assy to the left and then attach the panhard bar to the bracket.

That panhard bar in the back is the only thing that holds it straight, the cradle mount does not do that.

So I should jack up the pumpkin and grab the wheels and force it over to attach the sway bar? It should move that way no problem?

What ever works, it should move over so you can hook up the bar, nothing else holds it in the center only the bar.

Is there a better way? Push the body to the right while it's on the ground?

Support the cart with jack stands under the rockers. You may have to loosen the shock mounting bolts, but the swingarm assy should move freely to the left.

Right maybe the shocks are pushing it over, maybe better to bolt up the panhard rod before shocks? You should be able to jack it up off the shocks and/or pry it over with a 2x4 or something to get the bar on I would think. If not maybe take the shocks loose then. Make sure nothing is keeping it from moving over if it resists, like a tool fell into the frame or whatever.

I loosened up the bottom shock bolts jacked the pumpkin up and grabbed the wheels and moved it over to connect the bar. That fixed it.
