Default 2008 G29 trans axle open or limited slip?

newby just bought cart from dealer, I asked him if open or limited slip he said open. I only operate off road on my farm, I was on a wet field and almost got stuck, both wheels were spinning at same time, does that mean it's limited slip?

All Yamahas are Open from the factory. And on your Team axle, there is no option to add limited slip. Well, no option besides welding the spider gears.

Thanks cgtech, I wonder if welding spider gears was done before I got it. Both wheels spin in forward or reverse. I only use off road never on pavement, so maybe it won't be too hard on axles.

Well.....just don't drive it on hard pavement (concrete or asphalt) and your good to go. If your getting stuck, get "more better" tires than you have. If you have the "more best-est" tires, then maybe you need an air boat?

Jack up the rear, cart in gear, and try to turn one wheel. If the other wheel spins the opposite direction, it's still open.

I jacked up rear yesterday, turned one wheel and opposite turned reverse way. Don't understand why both wheels spin forward and reverse.
