Default Help needed with G8E

So I just sold a cart to a man yesterday, 100% functional. Alltrax SR48400, D&D motor. He took it home and he said he drove it a mile down the street and he smelled something burning and it quit running.

He brought it back over to me and I noticed the cable going from the controller B+ the FNR you’d signs of heat, so I replaced it and the S1 cable with 4 AWG.

The cart still won’t run. I totally disassembled the FNR switch and it looks fine.

The solenoid clicks and tests good and the lights on the controller flash green five times like it should. The only thing that happens when I press the pedal is the new cable going to the FNR switch gets hot. What does this sound like? I’d really like to get back to him ASAP.

Problem solved – the motor cables were all melted together into one big mess. The whole cart has been rewired with 4G now. All the motor cables melted together into one and the controller is fine. Man, I love Alltrax.

What would cause that? I’m new to the cart world and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks.

A 10 hp motor on 6 gauge cables caused it. Negligence on my part. This is an old build.
