Default 2011 Yamaha Drive- How to check the Motor

I have a 2011 Yamaha Drive with Serial Number JW9-F4236-01. The cart has good pack voltage and the solenoid is clicking. It doesnt appear to be getting good voltage out of the motor. Is their a way to test the voltage going to and coming out of the motor? Im thinking the motor is bad. The guy that was driving it said it was smoking and had an electrical smell. It appears that the motor is getting hot when you press the accelerator. How can I ensure that everything is working up to the motor?

Not sure but definitely sounds like the Hitachi motor is toast which is very common.

My motor went out recently and I replaced it with a Riot Kit from Plowmans. Scotty B or Don Plowman can help and both are sponsors here. I would contact one of them and discuss.

The stock motor has very small brushes that wear out fast and the motor will overheat and fail. ALmost any motor replacement is better than the Hitachi motor. I went with a D&D motor when I killed my stock one.

Thank you! I was considering an Electrical Motor Products replacement.
