Default G2 air box parts

Just started redoing a 89 g2, my first cart. I was unaware till after my purchase just how important the air box assembly is to having the cart run well. Having said that I'm looking for 2 parts that Yamaha has conveniently discontinued, the surge tank assembly that attaches to the box and the funnel and rubber hose assembly that's inside the box. Both hard to find!! If anyone has suggestions on ways around using the stock air box all together I'd love to hear about that as well. I've read some post about using a k&n filter but I'm not sure the proper way to go about this. Thanks

Someone here probably the parts you're missing after doing a big block conversion. I would post a wanted thread in the parts section.

I think you'll need to bump your post count before you're able to access the buy/sell forum, but that would be your best bet. or possibly keep watching ebay, but the ones i've seen on ebay are a pretty penny.

Only other option I could think of is call http://www.plowmanscarts.com/
They may have some in the junk parts bin they can sell you, or he may be able to talk you through proper jetting to run a different airbox or filter even. I don't believe there is anybody in the country that knows more about yamaha golf carts than don plowman.
