Re: Max speed 10mph
If your motor is an AMD with the Top Hat speed sensor, remove the sensor and check the magnet. I have found the magnets is four or 5 pieces still clinging to the mounting 1/4-20 bolt, the carts would still run but not over 8-10 mph.
PS - You need new batteries. The low voltage on the two middle batteries indicates a problem. Best way to check a battery is with a good hydrometer. I have seen a set of batteries that all read equal and pack at 50.6V. Cart wouldn't travel more than 400 yds before quitting. Checked with a hydrometer and most cells would not even raise the float. Completely dead though all read good voltage. two cents worth |

Re: Max speed 10mph
Just a status update. Received my new solenoid, alltrax xct500 controller, programmed for my d and d motor, and attempted to make my own 2 gauge wires with the incorrect wire. So now I am waiting on new cables. I can confirm I had the stock curtis controller, a stock solenoid and looked up the axle which is also oem. Whether gears we're changed, I don't know. I think it's time for new batteries and that will be when I get back from vacation next week. More to come when the new cables arrive and I get them in next weekend. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Re: Max speed 10mph
Ok, New wires, controller, solenoid = faster cart. Have not had a chance to open it up yet but speed is definitely faster than 10mph. Thanks for all the replies.
