Club Car DS jumps off the line.
First-time poster for this great website. I have a lifted 95 DS 48V with a Curtis 1204 controller and stock motor. The controller needed to be replaced after failed factory test. I also needed to replace the v glide potentiometer because a couple of the resistors had burned out from what I don't know. New solenoid as well.
I also have a non-lifted 94 DS 36V with an Alltrax controller which checked out OK. But the same thing with the v glide, this was due to the previous repairperson installed a pre 85 solenoid in it. After I corrected that got everything working ok. The cart also has a stock motor. But both carts do the same thing on start like jack rabbiting. Barely touch the accelerator and the unit hops out of the gate regardless of how lightly you touch the accelerator. However, after the initial start carts smooth out. Since I rent these carts I judge that this is not safe for renters. Any clues as to where to focus my efforts. Last edited by Garudy54; 04-20-2021 at 09:00 AM.. Reason: Update |

don't know the solution but will give this thread a bump and maybe the experts can chime in. My guess and its only a guess is resistors in the vglide. I would swap a known good vglide from a working cart and retest.

Are you saying the 95 cart slows as you depress the pedal?

What color is the controller in the 95? The V-glide was used for only a short while in early 95, it uses a different controller than the later 95 models.
Sorry, I'm no help with the Alltrax. |

The Alltrax Drive Style default setting is Street. Changed it to Turf and it is much better when taking off. |

With the 95 it's almost like it is hopping when you barely touch the accelerator. Then it stops.

The controller is a black Curtis 1204.
