Default My new, used Precedent....issues

I recently traded my 95ds, 91ds, and my 04 Precedent for a new, used 2014 Precedent. My carts had been sitting for awhile because the repairs got ahead of me. They owed me nothing and I couldn't get excited working on them anymore. Anyway, I made this deal fast and didn't use my microscope like I normally would, having done 2 full rebuilds myself. Talk about spit shining!!! So far I've replaced the rear with heavy duty leafs, I assumed if you put a backseat on you would naturally replace the leafs. I've replaced the lower steering linkage...had about 4" of play in the wheel. Back seat cushion fell off the other day because they just wood screwed from bracket to seat back. I'm pretty sure the rear seat kit is for a different cart, it's very small only 10" depth on the *** cushion. None to the front/rear seat anchors line up the brackets they used. This too will be corrected.

So sorry to hear this. At least you have experience with repairs and can make it what you want it to be. I know that doesn't help your frustration.

Thanks. I forgot to mention they replaced the brakes but not the torn up brake cables. It amazes me how much money they put in this cart, ie: new batts, rims/tires, led light, rear seat, gtw lift, steering wheel, mirrors, paint job, and custom seats and then they did subpar labor on fixing things on the cart. With my trades I was out of pocket $2k on the cart...I still consider myself ahead. Carts in S. FL have probably gone up %30-40 due to covid, staying close to home, etc.

It sounds like they did a bit of a "lipstick on a pig" approach :( The good news is that it sounds like they did they heavy lifting (and paying) for the goodies; you just gotta go clean up the poorly done stuff.

It always amazes me what some people consider "good" or "good enough". It sounds like you have a real nice cart (post up some pics!) and just have some tidying up to do-congratulations!

Lots of backyard flippers out there cutting corners to save $ and trying to just make a quick buck. For most people that have never owned a cart, they truly don’t know any better or any different. If it runs and drives they get away with a lot, truly a shame. At least you’ve got the ability to fix everything back to your liking and unf—- the other guys “work”.
