Marathon rear basket
Has anyone mounted a basket or bed to the rear of a marathon? Need a small bed to carry tools and such.

Re: Marathon rear basket
I built my own bed out of 1" square tubing. I cant remember the exact dimensions but I ran it about 8" tall and I think it was 42" wide and 36" deep. i took the rear top supports loose and let the box but the seat back supports the ran the top supports thru the front wall of the bed. I used long bolts with wing nuts and lock washers to bolt it directly to the rear fenders, that way I could take it off to access the rear end n such. I also ran a couple of stiff leg supports under the bed down to the rear bumper. I laid in a piece of plywood and left it at that but you could line it with whatever you want. I cut the metal myself and took it to the local career schools welding class and they welded it together for free.
