motor controller or OBC
I am new to the golf cart world and I have learned alot from the post on this site, however we bought 7 CC carts that are all 93 model DS series, (learned that on this site). My question is do we have OBCs on the carts or do we have motor controllers? And also can we bypass them to check them out further, we know we have two dead OBCs or controllers due they are totally burnt out ? Thanks in advance for your patience !

Re: motor controller or OBC
We were trying to move carts around and plugged a charger into a cart to try and move it, it moved a couple of feet and after a pretty large "pop" we think we blew a controller out, will this blow them that easy?

Re: motor controller or OBC
You may have blown a battery ....... with any luck... I would not try to drive them with the charger on.... it's too much voltage, enough to possibly damage a controller.
Price a controller for that cart and you will rethink anything risky like that. My advice is to get a manual. Start with diagnostics according to the manual procedures. You will need a good Digital Volt Meter. |
