I have to wait till the top end is done and my new driven clutch is on. But before that i have to wait for some money to magically appear in my pocket first.

My 83 Marathon was not downshifting properly, sometimes not downshifting at all even after a complete stop . The shorter belt fixed this . Maybe the other belt was worn? I didnt want to pull the driven off as i just installed it new last year . I lost a little speed with the shorter belt but man this thing really pulls now ! Thanks everyone !

I tried the shorter belt without much performance improvement ..... just harder to shift. Then I tried CPP's clutch modification and got some good results.

Got a magic trick for ya.
As you are looking at the engine from the front Wedge wood shims on the left side between the swingarm and the motor mount plate. Pound them in there.
Then tach weld 2 bolts on the right side. One on the front one on the rear.
Tada shorter belt.
Only works if the motor mounts are shot.
