They are touchy when you lift them up to 6". I will not let my little brother drive mine due to the ease of roll over. Definitely requires two hands at full speed and concentration.

Adjust the tow in some and it will not feel as touchy.

I just built a limo RXV that has the Rhox 6" drop axle lift and it is a lot more stable. I know the stretch makes it more stable but I can feel a big difference when it comes to bumpy roads. The drop axle absorbs the bumps so much better but can't say for sure if it is the extra length or the better lift or a combination of the two. I can say I will probably never do a spindle lift again.

Not much sidewall flex in 12 by 22 tires, what air pressure?

I run 15-20 psi that is with 14" rims so I run a little more pressure to protect rims some. If I had 12" wheels I would stick with 15 psi.

I have always run 8 lbs in all mine, (along with some others on the board)
mine have always been pretty stable, also run 6 ply tires marked 15 lbs Max.

1/4 inch toe in may be too much.... try setting at zero toe in and see if it is better. too much toe makes steering twitchy.
