Default throttle spring

on a 86 marathon how long should the spring be.
is has very little tension and is about 1" long
read brew city music instructions on how to adjust
it just doesn't seem to push enough when at idle

When at idle? The spring is to make the throttle plate close all the way when you let off the go peddle. You can use a spring from a ink pen.

3/4" is all the longer you need. These carts aren't supposed to idle.
