You can't see it unless you remove the flywheel. Just look for a red and blue wire coming out of the engine case and follow it to a connector, then to the ignitor. I just verified that the wires are red/blue on the 88 cart.

Just follow them away from the motor until you find the connector, then make sure the connections are good.

You need a puller. Kind of like a steering wheel puller. Should find 2 screw holes on opposite sides of the flywheel face. Those are used to pull the flywheel against the center crankshaft.

Where do you get one of those? And I figured id look at the rest of the engine and the head seal is broken and exhaust doesnt have a seal at all

You can rent a steering wheel puller at most auto parts stores. Just make sure it is a size that can work. You'll also need 2 long screws to go into the flywheel holes.
I just used a 1/2" steel plate and drilled 3 holes in it to use as a puller. The large center hole goes over the crankshaft, and the two outer holes are used for the puller bolts.
