Sled Throttle Linkage
Anyone know if someone makes a kit that can use the stock gas pedal in an '84 Marathon but make it into a pull cable. The stock setup pushes the cable, I have a sled motor in mine and I am trying to get the throttle linkage worked out. When I push the pedal i need it to pull the throttle cable. The Stock cable is actually the exact length, width & everything it just doesnt move the correct direction.

Re: Sled Throttle Linkage
I will get pics in the morning. Basically though, when you push the gas pedal the throttle cable pushes outward. The stock EZGO setup was funky.
I need a gas pedal setup just like a motor cycle.. ie.. when you push the pedal or in my example "twist" the throttle the cable pulls the carb open. |

Re: Sled Throttle Linkage
They run cable from the pedal to the govner linkage and then push the throttle open.
The push linkage is about 8" long and has a flex joint |

Re: Sled Throttle Linkage
i'd end up ghetto rigging it just to drive it and tie a string to the throttle and put it under the seat so you could pull it to go

Re: Sled Throttle Linkage
Look at todays posts "throttle cable solutions". That cable sheath is made with 1/4" airline and fittings. The cable itself looks like a guitar string. You may be able to make something like that. If the push mount, is on the same side as the pull cable it could work. Check it out!
