My plan is to be able to walk up to ANY 36 or 48 volt cart and easily hook this up.

1. Hook up single negative wire
2. Hook up reducers positive wire
3. Hook up the 36V+ lead OR the 48V+ lead
4. Toogle the switch to 36 or 48 for the common
5. Done

Get a regular digital voltmeter that handles either voltage ($15 from site sponsor or cheaper if you want to wait for China express).

Walk up to ANY 36 or 48 volt cart and easily hook this up.

1. Hook up single negative wire
2. Hook up a single positive wire
3. Done

I understand the simple solutions that everyone has offered, believe me I understand this option, but my question is on the switch. The fan control, reducer and gauge will all be neatly mounted in a control box so I wont have access to the back of the volt gauge to swap wires back and forth every time unless I want to disassemble everything, which I don't. The gauge will have a wire coming from both + tabs in the back of the gauge, if I hook to a 36V cart I will use that lead and the 48v lead will be unused, and vice versa. The common wire also needs to be attached in this fashion but there is only 1 tab, so I need to be able to switch between 36v and 48v.

My question is simply if anyone knows of a SPDT 48v switch that would work in this configuration. Or if there is a cart key switch that might function in this ON-OFF-ON setup.
