Anyone know where I can sell lead cores in NE Florida? I was told it's illegal to buy them outright, by a store manager at an auto parts store.

Just check around at different golf cart shops. You should be able to get $25 each, but might have to call a few.

I sold a set to a metal recycler a while back. Your store manager was not well informed, you can legally sell batteries... The recycler did want to see my receipt for the new batteries to show that I didn't steal those other ones. Which seemed odd to me... Stealing 500 pounds of batteries would not be exactly easy money.

No chance for corrosion at the connector itself as it is not copper or is tin plated. If corrosion is a problem, get cables and connections that are already tinned. Unless you buy in bulk and do it yourself, be prepared to pay more. Been a boat owner for decades and any time you say "marine grade" they bend you over.

Try saying "aviation grade" or Mil-Spec. You don't even get a reach around with those terms.
