Disconnect the half speed reverse wire (orange on pin 3) at the controller. If that fixes it find out why it is hot in F&R not just R.

Scotty.....he has half speed in forward, and NORMAL in reverse....its backwards. possibly someone wired up the micro switches backwards or swapped the cables on the back of the F&R at the 3 and 9 positions.

On the pin on the controller with the orange wire has 37.8 volts in forward and reverse. Is it possible the the switch on the f&r that controls the orange wire is bad???

Also when I say normal speed in reverse, I mean normal half speed.

What happens when you disconnect the orange wire like I suggested?

yes it is.....BUT when that type if switch goes, it normally fails OPEN, not closed....however, never under estimate the inanimate object you are working on! Take the time to check it.....its easy to do. VERIFY EVERYTHING. ASSUME NOTHING.

Yes Scotty B I am asking a question because I don't know exactly what is going on. I just checked voltage on the orange wire with the f&r in both directions and found the same. No I do not know why this is and what it means that I why I am in here asking. This group is so good and I truly appreciate the help on things that I just don't know. I am thankful for any help, but please don't make me feel less of a person for just asking a question that I honestly don't know the answer too.
