Johnnie-

You are correct. I never fixed the issue last year. You and I traded several PMs (thank you again!), but I didn’t have the time to keep working on it then.

How do record a data log?

The data logging controls are on the left side menu on the Monitor Screen.

Use the browse button to select a file location on you computer and name the file that will be created.

Press Stop, then press Start when you want to start recording data and press Stop when you are through recording data. (If you don't push Stop before closing Toolkit or disconnecting computer from controller, the data is lost.)

The Continuous frequency typically records about two or three lines of data per second and is best for troubleshooting, but can produce some fairly large files. Some of my data logs have over 30,000 lines.

The data log file will be a *. csv (comma separated values) file, which cannot be attached to a post in this forum, so zip it and attach the *.zip file.

I’m out of own for work until Friday. I’ll record a log and post it as you advised, over the weekend.

I appreciate all the input folks!

Just for grins try programming the controller for an 8 pole speed sensor instead of a 4.

The MOT-B2 motor is a 4 pole.

Log file attached.

Of note- you will see at one point the throttle was not achieving 100%. I ran into this problem last year where sometimes the throttle was not getting to 100%, so I adjusted the throttle curve to hit 100% just prior to full application. That throttle curve got removed at some point during an upgrade or something. I readjusted it during this run. (BTW- if anyone knows why the throttle would do that, I'm all ears. Inducer perhaps?

Only other thing I want to point out is when the motor finally reached ~5000, that was downhill. It only hits about 4000 on the flat.

I suspect battery problems. The voltage is dropping to red flag levels, motor amperage is spiking when this happens and the controller fan is coming on at the first hard acceleration and again throughout the run.

I would be curious to see a voltage reading for each of the 7 batteries while under heavy load, Like in acceleration up a steep hill. The pack is dropping as much as 8v under load.

The max battery voltage sensed at the controller before any regen occurred was 44.0V and voltage drop of 9.2V occurred during the first acceleration (10:04:03) when 336.1A were being drawn by the armature.

If 44.0V was sensed at the controller, either the battery pack was only about 86% charged, or some voltage is being lost between battery pack and controller.

What is the make/model of the batteries?

Is Turbo turn on? The field is only weakening down to about 5.9A when motor is under 4000RPM.

Stock motor is 2.5HP and Admiral B2 is over 8HP. Im more experienced with gas engines I guess. I would expect more when you raise HP 3X?
Im prob wrong though😛
Yes it rolls 20+ up hill.

Any suggestions on how to read the individual batteries while driving? My voltmeter has probes, not leads I can secure.
