I read individual batteries with a multi-meter. I have bigger alligator clamps on one meter. I can easily clamp on whatever post I need and read the meter laying on the seat while I drive.

1. Get some clip leads or something similar. https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...yfbc9o1m_e_p37

2. What is the Amp=Hour rating? Or the model# of the battery?

I've bought a few cheap multi-meter clip on test leads from amazon - they're okay, not super quality but, these plug in & work.

I built test lead sets for measuring/monitoring voltages while cart was being driven out of several feet of 18Ga zip-cord (aka speaker wire and lamp cord and some other names) with banana plugs at the meter end and various sized alligator clips on the other end.

Most hardware stores and DIY centers sell it by the foot or by the roll. It takes a little work to build them, but you can make them as long as needed.
