Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
Here is the info I found for installing additional charging profile/algorithym in those IC chargers:
List of Algorithms available for download: https://support.delta-q.com/helpdesk...ts/13039561568 Where to Download the Algorithyms: https://support.delta-q.com/support/...eries-chargers How to Install them: https://support.delta-q.com/helpdesk...ts/13031921886 Software needed to read the data logs from USB stick: https://delta-q.com/software-accessories/ |

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
No software needed just to do an update. Just download the profile to an empty USB thumb drive and plug it into the charger. The charger will automatically update itself with the new profile from the thumb drive. As you linked above, Full instructions are listed on the Delta-Q site.

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
I was going to try to change the algorithm to match my new T875 batteries. I downloaded the correct file and the install file. I noticed on the Install file that it said to press the "Wrench Button" on the charger to verify which algorithm is loaded.
Since I couldn't locate a "Wrench Button", I sent an email to Delta-Q asking about it. They replied, "The Club Car variant of the IC650(ERIC) charger does not have the programming function as with our standard IC650. It only carries 1 algorithm #31 for the flooded JCI GC8. If you would like to switch the charging profiles I would suggest you to contact Club Car to see if there is a way to have the ERIC charger programmed." Well, nuts. I replied back wanting to verify that even though it has a USB data port, that I can NOT change the profile myself? Haven't heard back yet, but I'm not hopeful. |

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
Did You try putting a clean USB stick in the charger than looking at the logs on the iDat software again to see if the Active Charging Profile changed?

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
I haven't tried that yet. I need to install the iDat software and then I'll plug it in and see what it says, although it might not be until this weekend. I also emailed CC to see if it's possible for me to change the charging profile but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
It worked! I loaded the iDat software and it said the active profile was #256 - which I don't even see on their list of algorithms. Since I never heard back from Club Car, I decided to try inserting a USB with just the #1 profile on it.
After the light stopped blinking, I unplugged the charger and then plugged it back in. Then downloaded the charging history again and now it says that #1 profile is the active profile. Yay! |

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
I have the same batteries and am considering updating to the version 1 algorithm. What would this actually achieve? Thanks!

Re: ERIC charger with upgraded controller concern
This entire process hass me confused. I think i have tried many different combos of the info from the answers above, still cannot figure this out.
All of sergios links send me to the same page where you have to make a decision, all 3 differnt links end up at the same decision point/. If i start with a new thumbdrive, in my hand, what is the first thing i do with this thumbdrive, insert this blank into the charger or insert this blank into my laptop? ( windows 10). I have downloaded everything i saw on the page links, and have tried to open the zipped files on my laptop. but none will open. I want to change my chargers to have the usbattery # 71 profile. |
