Default battery tray/holder replacement?

Hey guys, I'm due to replace my batteries and when I pulled the first one out I found another problem, the angle iron holding the batteries is bad rusted, like some batteries are nearly falling through. Are people rebuilding these with regular steel and just painting/coating them with something or is there something prefab in aluminum or a non-corrosive material I can purchase so I won't have this issue again? Any tips/suggestions/direction is appreciated! And what the heck do they call that thing anyway?

2000 EZGO TXT - 6/8v. thanks!

I see a lot of the aluminum ones for about $125. I wound up building myself one using 3/16 angle iron. A little heavier than the original and a lot better material. Painted it real good beforehand installing it. The tolerance was pretty tight due to the thicker material I used but it fit perfectly when I was done. With that said, I enjoy fabricating and building stuff like that and have lots of patience. Most would be better off buying one else they might go mad trying to make one.

The aluminum one gets eaten up by battery acid even faster than the steel one, keep that in mind.

I usually just build one. It’s very easy.

I did the same as R.Boyd. Made mine with a little thicker steel, primed and covered with Flex Seal. i like projects.
