Default Head/Tail Light Bulb

Does anyone know the factory bulb type for the Club Car DS head/ Tail lights? MY cart is all covered up I`m too lazy to run out there.

If Tahoe sees this he will know for sure. I have too many aftermarket kits added after the fact.

Headlights - 886 for 50 watts, 889 for 35 watts. I like the 886. Club Car used them from the factory. Most of your cheap Chinese light kits use an 889 and they're not as bright. Both bulbs use the same base so you can use either one.

Tail lights - 1157

Thanks Tahoe...but the bulbs are way underpowered? Or are new generation led bulbs OK? Also any way to get that turn signal light to function?

What do you mean they're underpowered? As for the turn signals, just match the bulb number up with an LED equivalent. I believe they're 194s but I'm not positive.

This would be my answer to that question. In the past I've spent a lot of money trying to upgrade halogen bulbs to LED's. I must have bought 3 or 4 sets. None of them worked satisfactorily. All you would get is a bright spot right in front of the cart. It seems none of them were focused or could be focused down the road. The only good solution was to get the LED's with all 10 of the LED's molded into one lens. Then they work like low beam headlights. Here is a picture of the type of LED I'm talking about.

PS I got them from a dealer in Evans GA who will sell you replacement parts instead of having to buy the entire kit.

I had just read a bunch of posts on here saying the led bulbs were underpowered and dimmer than the halogen bulbs.
