wow! I bought my 06 with completely dead ORIGINAL batteries. It had been sitting for many years. I took the guy's word for it that everything worked prior to it being tossed in the barn where it sat. I figured if I have to change a few things no big deal - that is until I saw what controllers, motors, parts cost but that was after I bought it. I got lucky though, did the 12 volt to 8 volt conversion, popped in new batteries and cables and away she went - actually runs like a top too. The guy must have run red clay roads with it. I scraped off a half inch thick layer of dust from the underside, motor and everything looked like new once uncovered.

Yep. I'm still in decent shape. I bought it for $500. It has a set of batteries in it. The cores are worth $150. I'm a dealer with Alltrax, FSIP, and Trojan, so most of my parts are bought wholesale. The body is in decent shape. I had to order a new light kit due to the wiring harness on it being being corroded. I was hoping to put all new Doubletake stuff on it and make it like new, but I may be too far in it by then. It's gonna be a resale, but I plan to have it right before I do.

I'm about to run out of things to replace! I hope hopefully the motor will be here Monday and I'll stay putting her back together. Wiring harness from Tahoe should be here tomorrow.

Drained the rear end oil tonight. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Looks like chocolate milk. Refilled it with some thin oil along with a little sea foam to help clean and help get some of the moisture out. I'm gonna replace that and see how it looks after it has rolled around some until it looks like it should when it comes out. I cleaned that motor up, and it don't look half bad, but I have a FSIP speed motor on the way. I want it right when I sell it

Well, got parts in yesterday. Didn't have long to work. My son had a ball game. Let the rebuild begin.

Cleaned up the chassis. Got the new wiring harness installed. New light harness also. Controller, solenoid as well. Ended up replacing the MCOR, and had to bypass the OBC (which I had already figured I would, but had to try it). Got it running, but ran out of time and energy to finish putting the body back on.
