Default What voltage can a Medalist handle?

I have a 36 volt 1995 medalist golf cart. My question is can the stock controler ana solenoid handle 48 volts?

Thanks zach

No it cannot handle 48. Neither can your stock battery charger.

Some Series drive types can be tricked into accepting 42v, but the stock charger can't charge those either.

Thanks I knew about the charger. I Saw a post that some had a marathon that they ran 48 volts through there speed controller and it worked. But I figured it was different.

I ran my marathon on 48v for a while, it lasted about a month until the controller died. I had another (48v) controller waiting for it, and was just "trying it, to see how long the stock controller would last". I had no use for the stock 36v controller anyway.
