So I buy the bullet on a set of batteries how did I do?
I read about all kinds of batteries so much so I just gave up and purchased 6 Duracell gc15 from my local battery’s bulbs plus store. I got 6 out the door for $661. It’s a 230 AH @ 20 hrs figured that was good? Reg $129 each. So I have a week to take them back or should I keep them?

I have had good luck with Duracell car and truck batteries so who knows. They sell the ones you bought at Sams for $125 so you got a good price. Break them in and roll with it.

I've also had good luck with the Duracells. Maintain them and you should be fine.

The Duracells are made by Deka Battery in Fleetwood PA. They are good batteries.

Wow I really didn’t expect to hear this. I also didn’t expect to hear they were made at DEKA which is only 30 min from where I live. Thanks everyone!

Can a Lestronic II charger charge my new duracell batteries? Also how will I know if the charger is working correctly?

Yep... I was one of 19 fulltime electric forklift techs working on that 500 acre facility. It's like a small city. We had a large warehouse area just to stock rolls of battery labels/stickers for all the different brands and OEM's we made batteries for. Duracell was one of them. I actually had a 9 year old set of them I was able to revive and use for awhile. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=121424 and a followup... http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=122883 |

I wouldn't say Deka batteries are the best, but they are good batteries if you get them for a good price. Around here they're generally overpriced, except for the Duracell labeled ones they usually sell at Sams Club. Batteries Plus here sells the exact same battery for about $40 more per battery than Sams.
If you take care of them, keep them clean, keep the water levels correct, and always charge them after every use, expect about 4-6 years out of them. |
