won`t start w/o choke
Got the airbox sealed , uni filter , gutted factory muffler. Drilled the main jet out and it runs really good , BUT , it will not start witout the choke cold warm or hot. Am I missing something? The pilot ajustment does not seam to have any effect when I adjust it. Do I need to clean the carb one more time?

Maybe running a bit lean, check your plug. Looking for a tan color.

Re: won`t start w/o choke
If you're sure of no air leaks clean the carb again, I like to use the gunk brand carb cleaner, one gallon bucket from the parts store and comes with a little basket in it.
Give it a 3-4 hr soak. Have you adjusted the valves lately? |

Re: won`t start w/o choke
Valves have been recently adjusted. I will check them again. I also just put a new carb spacer on it.

Re: won`t start w/o choke
It was running lean with the uni filter and gutted muffler. Drilled it with a drill bit.

Re: won`t start w/o choke
OK, I now understand the why. How was it determined the size to increase too? And you used a regular drill bit, like from Home Depot?
