Batteries... three 12v or six 6v?
When I purchased my 93 Utilitruck, it had three 12v batteries wired in... should I leave it as is or wire in six 6v? Is there a difference between run time or anything else? New to all this Utilitruck stuff... it has a heavier payload capacity so perfect for the upcoming project.
If weight happens to come close to what the old motor can handle, do I add another 12v to the existing setup or need to upgrade to a 48v battery? Or, might simply a newly refurbished 36v motor make a huge difference? many many thanks in advance! bryan |

6-6v, high torque motor, 500 amp controller will move a lot of weight, and you can upgrade to 48v later if you need more speed.

Re: Batteries... three 12v or six 6v?
Cool... high torque motor... the one that's in there seems to be... but it's the original one. I've time to get new one in if need.
Weight... I've removed the whole front cage / steel frame, adding at least a couple hundred pounds capacity. I'll have frame made / mounted on front to hold generator for power for lights and to help balance rear weight. 500 amp controller... i can't find specs as to what is there (stock)... I only need max of 5 mph speed with weight approaching 3/4 load capacity of what specs show... again, all new to this <LOL> don't even really have a grasp of what a controller does yet :-) bryan |

Also 6-6 volts will get you more run time.
