NCX vs DCX controllers
Is the real difference between the NCX and the DCX actually just that the DCX comes with a connection port on the controller and the NCX doesn't or is it that you actually cannot program the NCX because it doesn't have the software? Has anyone actually attempted to program the NCX controller using an INTERFACE and an RS232 cable and were you successful? I know that the factory doesn't sell the adapter cable so I put together a quick assembly using some parts at work. Since this is my work golf cart, I really didn't want to spend money on a company owned vehicle.

Re: NCX vs DCX controllers
I think the chip inside is a "write once" chip instead of "rewritable" chip. The Npx is only designed as a stock replacement, for use only with stock motors. I believe the only capability of the PC software on Npx is monitoring voltages & errors.
