Just for kicks when you jump the solenoid do you get a small spark? If you bought a new one you can take your current one out and quickly test it. Make sure two small terminals have continuity and the coil is ok. Then to test the high amp side of the solenoid hook up the two small terminals to 36 or 48 volts, and clip your meter probes to the large terminals. When you apply the voltage the solenoid should go off and you should have continuity. If you have continuity before you apply the voltage it’s no good

Across the big terminals: I get a big spark with the switch in tow position. I get no spark with the switch in run. Also, there is no continuity between the small (coil) terminals so I know the solenoid is bad.

So how is the great weather in PA lately, I’m originally from Pittsburgh. I would like to be up there for the fall and winter but I just can’t right now
