Buying A G29??
Have the opportunity to purchase a CLEAN G29
2011, original owner Used for golf only, & he says he played 1 season on it (1x per week) Then has diagnosed with some sort of illness... (He didn’t want to say, so I didn’t ask) And although he is healthy now, has lost interest in golf... He held on to the cart hoping his grand kids would like playing with it, but they have other hobbies & show no interest It is currently not running, & I’m 99% sure it’s the fuel pump... But he will let me work on it to get it running... It is NOT advertised for sale, this is a friend of a friend deal... He’s firm on $3k, & from my untrained eye... Seems like an absolute steal... I’m a long time Club Car DS guy, but can’t argue with how much nicer, & smoother these G29’s are... Thoughts & opinions are welcomed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Buying A G29??
Those are good carts- don’t get me wrong- but I prefer the suspension and ride quality of the DS personally.

Re: Buying A G29??
I'd say it's a fair price for a nice cart.
I do have to agree with Luke... nothing seems to ride like a DS. Those things ride like a Cadillac, but the G29 is a very nice cart indeed, and fuel injection is a definite bonus! |

Re: Buying A G29??
This cart is not FI...
Still carbureted A buddy of mine has a G29, & I’ve ridden in it a lot... I don’t see my DS riding any nicer than a G29 at all... I love the DS carts because of their simplicity, price, & parts availability Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Buying A G29??
I'd say that's a pretty good deal for a cart that's been adult owned, used and maintained...

Buying A G29??
It’s a good deal for the condition for sure. Why doesn’t it run? Bad gas? Carb clogged?
Edit: I saw you said fuel pump. |

I’m going to start there... Swap out the pump, and just go in order... It was REALLY low on fuel, so we dumped some in,& still no fire Not getting anything to the filter, so pump sounds perfectly logical to me... But I will just go thru it until I get it... And say this for sure... IT HAS SPARK! Zapped myself pretty good Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Buying A G29??
Condition is everything with carts. If the owner looks like he takes good care of his stuff at his house, then you can bet he's maintained the cart. I've seen carts where the seller says it's been well cared for and I look in the garage and theirs crap everywhere, dirty, back yard looks like a junk yard. In those scenarios I usually pass. But it looks like it hasn't been monkeyed with.
Fuel pump could be gunked up. If that's the two piece pump you can take it apart and look at it. If it's the one piece, just replace it. Most any vacuum fuel pump will work, I prefer the Briggs and Stratton Mikuni pump. Check to see if there is vacuum getting to the pulse line on the pump. You can use a short piece of hose and hook it up, use your mouth to operate the vacuum pulse to test it. |

Re: Buying A G29??
Have you tried just priming it by putting a little fuel directly in the carb. I think the pumps tend to pickup better at a higher speed (engine running) then with just the starter turning the engine.

For what little cost a pump is, I just ordered it & go from there... I also didn’t want to do too much wrenching at the gentleman’s house... Everything there was pristine & polished, so didn’t want to take a chance of making a mess... He was perfectly fine with waiting on the parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
