Default 92 4 stroke no spark

Ok I am new to the golf cart world, just picked up my first 2 weeks ago. I got it it was hard starting when cold thought it was a fuel issue until it died on me. When it started acting up it would run for a couple of seconds then act like it was hogging down and then stop firing all together. After a few times of acting like this it stopped firing all together, pulled plugs no spark. So here is what I’ve checked; the coil that was on it was from a snowmobile it had .5 ohms across the terminals so I ordered a new coil and an igniter along with it. Neither coil or igniter fixed the issue (I will say the igniter I bought was a cheap one off of eBay so a little suspicious its good) I checked all grounds there is 0.1 ohms from engine to battery ground I have 0.1 VDC voltage drop from engine to battery on the negative I have 0.2VDC voltage drop from battery to solenoid and 0.15 ohms of resistance. The pulsar has 20.5 ohms of resistance between the two pins (measured at the igniter plug) the pulsar is putting out .45VAC at the igniter. At this point I am suspicious of the cheap igniter I purchased off of eBay but I wanted to ask on here and see if anyone has any other ideas. Thank you all for your time

Before giving up on the parts you bought (though you're right about the cheapie ignitor), check your grounds at the control box. The ignitor needs a good ground for that ignitor to work. Maybe even run a test lead to the battery ground just to be sure. May not be your current problem, but it's what I would check next. As those carts get to be a few years old that vertical plate where the solenoid, voltage regulator and ignitor mounts often becomes a problem due to corrosion where it mounts to the frame.

Thank you very much for the response. I forgot to mention it but I did previously run a wire from the stud the igniter grounds to straight to the battery I did the same on the coil mount. Thinking I’m going to have to try a better igniter. I just wish there was a better way to test the igniter. Thank you again
