Default 2008 YDRE motor or brake issue?

Worn input shaft has been replaced. All other gears look good. Brakes untouched. 10 mile drive with no probs. Climbed hills great, hit brakes on flat asphalt and rattle/bang from rear end. Motor seems to be operating fine, but wheels slip. Problems with the wet brake? Stock motor, lifted cart, fsip 500amp controller. Lots of carbon from motor during rebuild. Help?

Bump... Thinking it's brake-related, since he claims it runs fine until he slams the brakes. Any assistance is appreciated.

What happens? It rattles when you hit the brake? Those brakes don’t have much you can do for them, except change the cable.

Posting for a friend, but I'm told there is lots of noise from the rear-end when brakes are applied, then it will slow to a crawl. Obviously he doesn't want to ruin another input shaft so he parked it. He said other than the original input shaft being fried, everything else looked fine. Changed it out and it is doing the same thing. I just assumed it may be an issue w/the wet brake, but I haven't driven it to diagnose. I guess i should have prior to hitting the forum.
