F&R switches interchangeable?

Are there any “like” switches that can be used on a G8 other than the $300 stock replacement? I understand it may not be a direct bolt on but may need a little modification. Looking for any input. Thank you.

The G2E FNR switch is the same as the G8E (and probably the G9E as well.) I have personally replaced a G8 FNR with a G2 switch and can confirm they are the same.

The G8 was a controller cart and the G2 a resistor cart, but they were still the same.

Will a G14/G16 switch work? They look very similar. I also read a TXT switch can work if modified. Any and all help is appreciated.

Haven’t seen a g14 switch in a while so I can’t remember honesty. I think cgtech had a thread on modifying an ezgo switch to work if I remember correctly.

Skip on the G14/16 switch, it was the worst one ever used by the factory.

Here's the link for the conversion. But, it's not too much more money to get the ScottyB reversing contactor setup.
