Default Brush guard for an 87 Marathon

I've been unable to find any brush guards listed for anything older than an 88. Has anyone retrofitted any of these brush guards for the newer Marathons to the older models or has anyone had any luck finding brush guards made for the older models?

Don't think you are going to find anything. I mounted this CC brush guard on this '89 ez go. Just had
to make 2 brackets.

What did you attach it to? In the picture, it looks like maybe you attached it to the leaf spring bolts.

I probably have better pics at home. The brackets run back to the frame.

Sorry I missed this last night. I didn't change anything on the brush
guard. The width works out very well. I will post more pics and info tonight.

NewGuy, If you can, also post what year and model CC that brush guard was designed for.

'89 EZ-GO, under the lower plastic bumper cover is a steel bumper.

After removing the steel bumper piece, you have the the mounting bracket
tubes still in place. Here you can see how they mount to the frame of the cart.

I extended the tubes forward by inserting a smaller diameter tube inside and
welding the joint. Then, across the front face of the tubes, I welded ¼” thick
plate large enough to move the brush guard around a bit before transferring
the mounting holes. Sorry, this is the best pic I have after it was mounted.
