Thanks everybody. I have a parts cart so I should get one good sealed airbox out of the two. After that I will go to work on the jet if I have to.

Without a parts cart set aside, what is a good way to test to see if the airbox is sealing properly, and what is a good method to seal it?

Hanging over every rednecks work bench is a selection of colored duct tape.
No joking it will work, I keep cheap and good on hand. I use the cheap when I will be removing it.

See that, I was thinking about silicone caulk and testing with smoke.... Simple solutions are the best!!! Thanks a lot!
