Re: g8 clutch issue
sprid that makes a lot of sense i normally use a ratchet strap for tightening the sheath down but my ratchet on the strap was striped and i couldn't get the inner sheath in as far as i normally like it to be so i will try this and let u know

Re: g8 clutch issue
Just be careful. I know you will. Those torque springs can be dangerous. Sometimes I use two ratchet straps for safety. One above and one below the drive shaft. It's a pain getting them both off after the install though. I usually drive a wooden wedge between the sheaves after install to remove the straps.

Re: g8 clutch issue
Could be. Replace it as soon as possible. That thing flys apart at high rpm and it won't be pretty.

Re: g8 clutch issue
Stock sheave will do. I really haven't personally ever seen much of a noticeable difference with the milled sheaves.

Re: g8 clutch issue
ok i have a new sheeth with torque spring in rear along with new helix buttons and i dont under stand it but the buttuns look like they are wearing only a litle bit of the sheeth like the whole button is not making contact like it should be i ran these new buttons on an old sheeth for about 15 minutes of ride time my best guess is they wore abnormal and are not making full contact
