Yamaha g16 has no low end
Ok guys my father in law has a yamana g16 golf cart. The cart has been running funny for a while. He would have to pull the choke out to get it to start. So he got tired of that and bought a new carb. We put it on and it started without having to pull the choke out now. The problem is that there is no low end. On my gmax I can push the pedal slowly and it will just putt around until I floor it and it will get up and go. His cart has plenty get up and go but no low end. you push the pedal down and it just takes off fast. There is no easing into it.
We was wondering if any of you guys have a complete set of instructions on how to adjust all the cables to the peddle and the carb and the govonor. If you have any other insite please do not hesitate to tell us about it. Thank you. |

Re: Yamaha g16 has no low end
As it turns out it was not the carb at all it was the carb gasket. I didnt realize there were 3 carb gaskets. The 3rd one is behind a plastic spacer and it was crumbling allowing a air leak. So We replaced all 3 gaskets and put the old carb back on and it runs perfect.

Re: Yamaha g16 has no low end
Thought there was only 2 gaskets, one against the head, then the plastic spacer, then another gasket, then the carb. But if you got it running, hay, 3 works for me!!
Enjoy! Mike |

Re: Yamaha g16 has no low end
There are 3. One next to the head then the plastic spader then the second gasket then the carb then the third gasket then the air box neck. We didn't know that the plastic spader came off and the other gasket was behind there. It was crumbling.
