Default Reverse buzzer question?? G9

reverse buzzer goes off in reverse even without key on... is that normal? If not any ideas where to start looking? Could just disable it but assume it should not be getting power with key off.?.?

I am re-wiring my G16 so that the rev buzzer goes off when the ignition key is off. It won't start in reverse with the key off anyway so why did they design it to have the buzzer run continuos? It Must have been an insurance lawsuit issue.

The reverse buzzers are wired so they work when the key is off. When they start to fail they work intermittently and when they totally fail they still draw power. You may find that your battery is dead one day and you don't know why. I just unplug the connector on the fwd/rev handle to stop that problem or you can rewire like "technoid" is doing.

or what i did was swap the buzzer for a rev. light and wired a relay so the key kills it all. The rev. light is super handy
