Default g16 or g20

I have purchased a limo cart that was advertised on this site, but I am having a hard time finding the serial number plate and any documentation on limo style g16. even yamaha's page that details each model only mentions a limo cart was built in 2000. supposely this is a 1997 g16 but it was found to have a g22 engine in it.

any help is appreciated, thanks joel

Check for the serial# plate/decal in 2 places. Early G16, metal plate just forward of the battery (would start out JN6-). G20's should have a sticker between the rubber cowel trim and the storage area to the left of the steering colum. Went back to the member's info, you bought it from, sorry to say no real info there. Can say, not a stock Yamaha Consier type arangement. No worries, stretching a Yamaha is really not hard and this cart looks solid. Good luck on your new toy

I found my serial number and it's definitely a 1997 g16a gas with a G22 11.5 hp engine. however after looking under the cart I noticed it had been stretched at some point. the bracket that holds the brake cable had been cut in two by a torch but the work to stretch the cart looks very good and solid.

I do look forward to adding my touches to the cart and enjoying it
