sputters on acceleration
I have an EZ-Go 1110 Hauler with a B&S engine. I bought with the engine in pieces and assembled it. Got it to start alright and will run at idle speed and just above. However as the RPM gets above that it acts like it is starving out. Pulling the choke helps marginally
I took the fuel pump apart and cleaned it. I took the carb out and cleaned it. I'm having trouble distinqguishing between a fuel problem or electrical problem. Can you steer me in a right direction. Could it be the governer devise causing this? Any help would be appreciated Thanks |

Re: sputters on acceleration
What kind of engine is it? can you adjust the valves and run a compression test on it.
sounds to me like a fuel issue also, not enough gas or to much air. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks, the carb and intake are sealed off well. |
