83 Gas EZGO Spare Cable?

Hello all. I recently acquired a 83 Gas EZGO. I am new to the golf carting world, so I'm taking my time in what looks to be a winter project. As I was looking around the engine compartment, I came across a couple of cables that appear not to be connected to anything.

The first one is near the carburetor:

Any help in identifying these is appreciated. Hopefully, the pix are big enough.

It was part of the speed control device (governor). It has been disconnected.

Thanks for the reply. Are you talking about the cable that goes to the carburetor area or the one that goes to the arm mechanism near the clutch? Or both?

The one that goes to the arm by the clutch is the governer. When the clutch moves out far enough it closes the carb. Im not sure where on the carb the otherend attaches to as the previous owner was nice enough to remove and dissasemble the engine before i got it.
