Anyone have any luck with the new Alltrax xct500 for the Precedent iq carts?
Im going to order a combo from Cartsunlimited.com I have a 6" lift and 23" wheels. 4 gauge cables. Just wondering what I can expect when its complete. Faster speeds? More hill climbing power? Thanks everybody gor the insight!! |

I think you are about to be the Guinea pig.
I put the 400 in my wife's stock Precedent and it spins the wheels and very quickly reaches 22 mph. I asked Alltrax about using the XCT500 with stock motor and they it was okay. We have seen many Yamaha stock motors running on the XCT500 but the IQ model is brand new. Go for it |

Tuned in. I have the same setup. Looking for more low end pull and a little top speed. I have been thinking about that madjax 600 torque as well.

Re: New Alltrax bearcat 48500 iq
I put the little XCT400 in my wife's Precedent last weekend just to see what you it would be like. The cart now has gobs of torque and 22 mph top speed in hunting mode and smoother take off (slower acceleration) and 22mph top speed in golf mode. The install was pretty straight forward. See install details and notes here > http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ntrols-iq.html
Sorry for the cel phone quality picture... |

Re: New Alltrax bearcat 48500 iq
Glad to know. I was going to call PQ at the end of the camping season but might start with a controller and solenoid and 2awg wires. I have a few months to make up my mind. I don't plan to bring it home for service until October/November. Keep in mind we have a 5mph speed limit in the campground. But I have to have the fastest tallest cart LOL.
