1993 club car speed controller
Hope this is the right thread, my cart won't run but I think I have narrowed my problem down to the controller but I don't know how to test the controller with an ohmmeter. I don't have a solenoid click and not sure if the controller can cause that so maybe someone here can help me. Thanks

Re: 1993 club car speed controller
If you don't have a solenoid click then you can't determine the issue is the controller. Jack up the rear and CAREFULLY jump the solenoid (short the large posts) then turn on the key and hit the go pedal. If it runs, replace the solenoid and your problem will be fixed.

Re: 1993 club car speed controller
Hi and thanks for responding; I finally got a solenoid click but still no run. I had a wire wrong on the FR shifter. I tried testing the motor but not sure how to see if the motor is good. Do you know how to test the motor to see if it will run without using the controller. Thanks

Re: 1993 club car speed controller
Unhook wires from motor. Do a continuity test between A1 and A2. Then again from F1 and F2. You should have it in both locations. If you dont, the motor won't run.

Re: 1993 club car speed controller
Hi again, I got the motor to run by jumping the m- and b- terminals and pushing throttle. So,I now know it is not the motor.does this men that the controller is bad? Also if so where is the best place to buy a controller.
