Default 48 to 12 volt converter and headlights help

Hello, I recently started having problems with my lights on my Club Car, it's a 48 volt cart. Just recently the lights started acting up, sometimes come on, sometimes not, now they don't work at all. I'm using a Chris Products converter, wired up per the instructions, but after reading stuff here, I'm a little concerned I don't have it hooked up correctly, I've also gotten shocked while checking the fuse. I have a fused red wire to + battery pack, a black wire to - battery pack, a yellow wire 12 volt to headlight switch, and another black wire grounded to the chassis. My headlights are also grounded to the chassis. I've now read to "NOT" ground to the chassis, is this for everything? Am I creating an unsafe condition? Should the converter black ground be hooked up to the grounds for the lights? Thanks

On electric carts. Never ground to frame. Run neg. wires to all hook ups. The pack neg. is used. You are getting shocked because of frame grid.

Okay, so headlights and taillights ground to neg. battery, or do they ground to the converter ground?

Ground all 12 volt to the neg of the converter. The input of the converter has a neg. that should ground to the battery pack neg. That keeps everything isolated from the frame.
