Charging 12V aux batt
Do golf cart chargers put out the appropriate voltage from the charger or does that get handled on board just downstream from the charging hookup pins? Obviously I can't charge the 12V aux battery directly from my 09 PDS's charging system, but wondering if I can come off the on-board stream before, and of course IF, the conversion to 36V (in my case) occurs on board.
Is that confusing? I'm just tired of having to run another charger to my 12V aux battery. Was hoping to find a not terribly complicated way to charge using existing with some modification. Thanks for replies. |

Re: Charging 12V aux batt
your CART charger will not work to charge your AUX battery.....you n8eed to use a stand alone 12v charger.

Re: Charging 12V aux batt
If you want an easier way to charge ...get a cheap walmart or harbor freight charge...splice on a male cigarette adapter and charge thru an auxiliary port ....that's what I do...no lifting the seat

Re: Charging 12V aux batt
Get a reducer. No more extra battery and no separate charger.

Check out site sponsor Scottyb at cartsunlimited for your reducer , or any other upgrades. He seems to sell all of the best stuff and support is outstanding. I didn't price shop a reducer on Amazon, eBay, etc since word around here is to stay away from the cheap stuff, especially with the electronics.
